Oh snap! – ‘The Gate’ is going to get a sequel. Not a remake, ya’ll – A SEQUEL. Say wha? That’s right. 20 years on, this kick-ass little PG-13 horror movie – still one of the only good PG-13 horror movies – is going to get a follow up.
Granted, there already was a sequel – The Gate II: Trespassers in 1992, though that one is best forgotten. It somehow lost all the fun of kids finding a gate to Hell in their backyard. Perhaps all the magic was in Stephen Dorff? Yes, perhaps.
Now where is my ‘Night of the Creeps’ sequel? Am I gonna have to just make that myself?

Awesome. I frickin loved The Gate. That’s some good movie there. Hope they manage to keep the goofy scariness intact for the sequel, but don’t count me optimistic.
